Bob Dylan / Bob Dylan (Columbia, CS 8579 ; stereo) <released March 19, 1962> 本作品のプロモ盤で白ラベルは存在しません。斜めに大きくラベル全体に「DEMONSTRATION RECORD」「NOT FOR SALE」と印刷されたヴァージョンもあります。こちらは、写真の通りに単にステッカーを後から貼付しただけで、レア度はやや落ちます。それでもほぼ見かけないレア盤で、VG以上の盤はUSでは5万円以上ぐらいで取引されていると思います。なお本盤のマトは「1E/1F」です。 当時としては異色だったといいますが、でも2作目以降とずいぶん違う印象、普通のフォークという感じです。 この中で1曲選ぶとしたら、僕はコレですね。 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Pvaoqqbxhc

Simon & Garfunkel / Sounds Of Silence (US, Columbia, CL 2469) [stereo] <January 17, 1966> その① MAT ; 1C / 1C (SIDE 1) XSM 112380-1C (SIDE 2) XSM 112381-1C オリジナルは①モノラルの初期盤はSound Of Silenceが青字で曲目記載がありません。「including 'Homeward Bound'」の記載もありません。② ジャケの裏面の3枚の写真の一枚（二人が同時に写っている一番大きな写真）のガーファンクルが「Tiger Beat Magazine」をポケットに入れています（後に修正されて黒塗りにされます）。ガーファンクル一人の写真では右手に同雑誌を持っていますが、これも修正されます。③'ANJI'の記載にばらつきがあります。'ANJI - In Manuscript'とか 'ANJI - Written by Davy Graham, one of England's finest jazz/blues guitarists'などと記載されていたり、'ANGIE'と記載されたり・・・。ちなみに最初期は「ANGIE」記載です。④ラベルは「2eye」(ロゴマークが二つ)です。⑤裏ジャケの下端の曲目が一切記載されていないものは本当に珍しいです。 表題曲はもちろん、若者らしく虚無的な"Leaves That Are Green"、まるでマザーグースの作品のように簡素な"April Come She Will"など、このアルバムにもいい曲が多いです。それらの中でも、オチになって初めて意味が分かる"I Am A Rock"が好きでした。 "I Am A Rock" A winter's day In a deep and dark December I am alone Gazing from my window To the streets below On a freshly fallen, silent shroud of snow I am a rock I am an island I've built walls A fortress, steep and mighty That none may penetrate I have no need of friendship Friendship causes pain. Bob Dylan / Blood On The Tracks (Columbia, PC 33235) <released ; January 20, 1975> ファースト・プレスのみ裏ジャケのデザインが異なります。WLP（white label promo）と、通常ラベルのプロモがあり、またプロモ間でもマトリクスがかなり異なります。これはマト末尾が「2C/2AB」です。 70年代ではこの作品と次回の"Desire"の評価が特に高いですが、アクが強く大作が多いためか好き嫌いの分かれる"Desire"よりも、感情に訴えかける曲が多い（ように思います）本作品のほうが人気が高いような気がします。こちらのプロモのほうが手に入りにくいのは、その辺が影響しているのでしょうか。 このアルバムは別れの曲が多いですが、率直で分かりやすい"If You See Her, Say Hello"がいいですね。あと辛辣な"Idiot Wind"と。このセッションの全貌を収めた「モア・ブラッド、モア・トラックス」は、かなり聴き応えのある内容でした。 "If You See Her Say Hello" If you see her say hello she might be in Tangier She left here last early spring is living there I hear Say for me that I'm all right though things get kind of slow She might think that I've forgotten her don't tell her it isn't so. Founding group member Alan Longmuir had been replaced by Ian Mitchell prior to the recording sessions. Upon the switch, Mitchell was slotted as rhythm guitarist; Stuart Wood moved from rhythm guitar to bass. Mitchell also provided the lead vocal for the title track.
